Laura Shamblin M.D. - Dr. Shamblin is a Board Certified Pediatrician from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She has a background of being a primary care provider for children with special needs both inpatient and outpatient, and is currently completing a three year fellowship in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Child Study Center. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She spends much of her time caring for her four children, one of whom was adopted at the age of 4 from China. Through the experience of international adoption, the science of trauma became foremost in her mind, and she desires to provide that information to all who work with children and have a desire to mitigate the effects of trauma.
